My dull day... and earth worms.

-I spent all morning mending fences.

-Interesting thing I discovered this morning while fence mending: if you hammer staples into wooden posts, the vibrations make worms come to the surface and crawl about. It was very cool watching them all come up out of the ground like little ropes in the indian rope trick. I think the vibrations make them think it's raining so they come to the surface. I'm sure it took me twice as long to do the fence as everytime I hammered a staple in I had to look to see if there were any worms.

-Went home briefly after picking my brother up and getting my Teachers season 2 DVDs back from him.

-Went back to the field and made huge beds for Oscar and Kaz as they are in overnight now. The weather's been so mild recently. Usually Oscar would have been in overnight weeks ago.

-Watched Adaptation again. Good film even if Nicholas Cage does look rather repulsive in it.

Wow, I did not know that about hammering staples into fences and worms, but I'm sure it's worth knowing. Worms are funny with their blindness and naivete. And strange segmented bodies.

I have had Adaptation from my friend for months and haven't watched it. I really should get around to doing that.

Bless you for commenting on my entry about worms. Worms are strange indeed. If you hold them in your palm whilst wearing latex gloves it makes a squeaking sound.

Thank god I have an office job now...

I do like Adaptation. It's strange. But I like strange.
