Star Wars
I went to see Revenge of the Sith yesterday and I now know what the other two new films were lacking: multiple amputees on fire! Can't beat them for entertainment value. No wonder Darth Vader is so cross - he's in that suit with the bits of burnt leather still melted onto him.
I was totally unspoiled for it and I really enjoyed it. Much much better than the other two. When did Anakin get so hot? About the time when he lost the mullet and started wearing black leather probably! Some of it wasn't so good - Padme 'losing the will to live' for instance, but I'll forgive it because the film was so fabulously dark. I guess the Star Wars films are all about Anakin really - his fall and his brief redemption before death. Poor thing. (He was an annoying little shit as a kid though so I guess he deserved it).
And one final insightful thought about the film: that iguana monster that Obi Wan was riding around on was very cool. I want one!
