I love that hug icon of yours. It's from that screen cap with the arse feeling isn't it! I randomly saw that scene yesterday while I was on the phone (my mum was watching it in the living room) and I'd forgotten quite how violent that hug is. Wow.

I packed that book into my trunk yesterday so I will read it when I get to the new place. Read it again, that is. *g*

I knew that you hadn't made it - I'd snuck a peek at your keywords. They do cling onto each other rather tightly. Though one reason I think that the hug looks more romantic than brotherly is the fact that David Thewlis is so huge compared to Gary Oldman. He practicall envelops him!

Yes, David Thewlis towers over Gary Oldman! Though I think Alfonso Cuaron made full use of that when getting them to do the head-tilty thing that makes them briefly look as if they're about to kiss. (sigh!) I wonder if Cuaron will do Order of the Phoenix? He only didn't do GoF because he didn't have time to finish post-production on PoA before shooting for GoF was due to start, so maybe he'll do OotP instead! It would be utterly cool if he did, because we'd get the scenes in Grimmauld Place with Sirius and Remus and he could make them be all gay again.

I think Anna Friel would make a good Tonks, really, as long as they do not foreshadow. There was no foreshadowing in the books (like, a negative value of foreshadowing), therefore there should be none in the movies.
