thistlerose posted a review of Brokeback Mountain from the NY Times here. I do hope it's as fabulous as it sounds. Beware, if you don't know the story of Brokeback Mountain, that article, although not spoiling the ending, gives an incredibly detailed synopsis of the story.

I want work to hurry up and finish! I'm meeting up with my friends in Leeds tonight for the weekend. I've spent much of this week wrapping presents and today, I've come to work with the Giant Rucksack of Doom full of them. One of my friends, my anonymous lurker friend actually, is in Nottingham today for a work team day so I'm meeting up with her and then getting on the train.

Hurrah! Today has been quite a good day actually. Once a month we have a coffee morning at work where a couple of people take in stuff that we've baked (I'm sure I had a journal entry earlier in the year about making chocolate brownies for it). Anyway, we had a Christmas one today with lots of lovely homemade stuff. So I stuffed my face with that.

Oh, and as predicted, I haven't posted my cards yet. I suck. Most of them are written though which is a start I suppose! I cut my lip licking one of the envelopes last night. D'oh.
