No, I don't really like the first series. I haven't bothered to get it on DVD. All the rest are fabulous though.

I've decided that snow is nice as long as I don't have to go out in it. Why can't the horses muck themselves out eh? Lazy buggers.

A friend of mine said that he studied the first Black Adder series in his teaching course. He majored in english and he said it is all the underlying information and what is hinted at that makes the first series interesting.
I don't know what he is talking about but I think there are loads of historical references that may be obscure for the wider audience but that is my guess.
I still think it is not as good as the rest of the series.
I shall ask my friend to tell me more.
