Can't sleep, clown will eat me
I've realised that I've hardly been posting at all this year. I'm all asquee with my newly rediscovered John/Rodney love and I've read an obscene amount of fic recently so it's not that I've got nothing fannish to post about. I think it's probably because of this crap with work (I don't think I've ever f-locked so many posts in a month before) making me feel that I shouldn't just be posting frivolous fannish stuff when my colleagues and I might not have a job soon. But that's crap! I don't usually use this journal and my f-list for talking about my mundane existence in any great detail - I mostly like to use it for sharing my fannishness (and moaning about annoying stuff). So screw you, Generic Consumer Goods Company of Large Size that now employs me! You can't take my squee! [My squee ------>\o/] Ahem.
I should find out by the end of Feb at the latest whether they're going to extend my contract or not.
I read an Atlantis fic today that included the line: "Rodney once kicked a clown in the nuts. He was only four at the time, but he remembered it with a fondness that kept him warm on cold nights - of which there were many in Siberia." Ha! It's from last summer so it's probably old hat to most interested folks, but in case it's not, it's Intersections, by Kaneko and it's John/Rodney in Antarctica. Lovely fic with lots of back story for the two of them. And it's funny too.
