I've done the canon and fanon paring meme (from niannah). When I do memes like this, I realise just how OTP oriented I am. There aren't many pairings that I love (and usually that means read fic for it) and conversely, there aren't many that I hate, and the ones that I do are usually ones that mess with my OTP! Anything else, I don't really have much of an opinion on. I've included all the fandoms that I've ever read more than one or two fics in. I could include stuff like Lost and Battlestar Galactica, but I don't really have any preferences or read fic so there's no point.

Firefly: I really quite like Mal/Simon but haven't really read it much.

Harry Potter: Snape/Lupin, Harry/Snape. In fact, anything involving Snape. Blackcest.

Pairings I Think Are Interesting For Various Reasons But Not Enough To Love Or Hate
Stargate SG-1: none
Farscape: Chiana/Jool, John/Crais (Farscape is not something that inspires me to ship anything apart from John/Aeryn)
Smallville: none. Just give me Clex!
BTVS & Angel: Willow/Oz, Buffy/Angel, Wesley/Lilah, Angel/Lindsey, Spike/Angel (I seem to like quite a lot of Buffy ships, but not enough to be very bothered).
LotRiPS: Dom/Elijah (never really reeled me in but I'm not averse to it)
Firefly: Mal/Inara (could be interesting but never really bought it)
Harry Potter: I don't hate Harry/Draco but I just don't get it.
Doctor Who (new): none
Stargate Atlantis: Carson/Rodney (I saw this in the pilot episode but Rodney/Sheppard ate my brain), Sheppard/Ronon (it's hot, but it doesn't have enough astrophysicists involved!)

I can't believe I forgot Smallville in mine! Dammit.

I really wish the Stargate teams for both SG-1 and Atlantis could handle writing relationships the way the Farscape team did. Two adults for whom getting together isn't the end of the story, but a point in the middle of a far longer and wider story that needn't be cut off from the rest of the plotlines and arcs. That way we might see more than hints now and then for the main team. Of course, it would never be John/Rodney or Jack/Daniel, but Ronon/Teyla would be nice!

That's what I was thinking about today at work, lol.

Well, I don't think Harry is hot AT ALL, haha. Poor kid. The same goes for Malfoy. But it all depends on how people write them, right? I've found talented people in that area. :D

I just don't watch any of those shows, I watch others. Hee. But I love it that you hate Tonks/Remus, because ACK. We like the same pairs!! :D

You missed the chance to hate on the Clark/Lana!

I suppose that with Stargate, in both incarnations, the stories are about their working life, so romance has to be kept to the sidelines and not treated as a plot point (apart from when Jack or John are doing the Kirk routine of course). That, and the fact Stargate writers are mostly crappy in comparison to Farscape!

Thats infinitely more interesting than wondering why the fax machine isn't working I'll bet!

It all started when they announced Gigi Edgely as the MC for Cubed. I decided I should probably have seen Farscape so I knew who she was, and then five happened to show the Peacekeepers Wars like two days after I'd decided this! So I watched that, and it was good, but I had not a clue what was going on. So I got myself a 30 day free trial at screenselect and I should have the last disc of S1 and the first disc of S2 waiting for me when I get back to Sunderland on Wednesday :D
