hot ears

Drinking red wine makes my ears burn. Very strange. And also useful if I have cold hands.

I'm putting off packing for my Hull trip - I hate packing for overnight stays with work. Who wants to pack work clothes into a suitcase? Very dull.

I'm going to go and straighten my hair and watch some old school Trek.

ETA: Does anyone know how to turn off the LJ feature that gives a stupid little pop-up when you roll over someone's username or icon? I'm drawing a blank.

Disable javascript. I have the web developer toolbar for Firefox, which has a nifty little 'disable javascript' feature. If you don't have that, go to Tools >> Options >> Content and disable javascript there. If you're not using Firefox... I have no idea.

If you go to Viewing Options, you should see "Show contextual popup" quite near the bottom of the page, just un-check that box.

I find it pointless, it's just a bunch of links that are already easy to find and don't really require a popup. I much prefer one of the LJ/Firefox Popups on Greasemonkey, you can edit that to link to a users' memories and tags - much more useful.

I used to have the web developer toolbar before my laptop died briefly and lost everything! Someone actually found where the option is to turn it off properly. Hurrah!

It is pretty isn't it! But unfortunately I can't claim to have made it! It's one of [livejournal.com profile] grrliz's templates.

Hull was tiring and a bit scary because I didn't know what I was talking about half the time! Four hour meetings are never going to be fun. But we did go to eat in a really nice restaurant last night so it wasn't all bad!
