Doctor Who has it's dodgy moments from time to time but this was not one of them. I think these two episodes definitely count as my favourite of the season so far. So many things to love.

- I think one of my favourite things was the ending where we see what the Doctor does to the Family - gives them eternal life as punishment.

- Martha taking charge when the Doctor can't.

- John Smith being such a complete character - so much so that you almost stop thinking of him as the Doctor at all.

- Daisy from Spaced!

- Seeing the boys being trained to use weapons and where that will lead them in the coming years.

- Martha being awesome.

- Scarecrows. This will be an episode that kids who watch it now will still remember when they're grown up because of the scarecrows.

- John Smith being so frightened that he's effectively going to die.

- Not long until Captain Jack!

- Martha FTW.

Urgh. I've got a really bad headache.

I was a teeny bit worried, because the second parts of two-part eps haven't always lived up to the first parts. But damn, I wept like a baby during the last five minutes of tonight's episode.

I know, and I loved the first part of this so I was really hoping that the second part was going to be just as good. And it was. I must admit to being slightly moist in the eye region by the end of the episode as well!
