peeping tom
One thing I love about living in a flat (and there aren't many things that I love or like about it) is that you can leave the windows open all day and night, even when you're not in, and you don't have to worry about someone climbing in, at least as long as they don't have a very long ladder and an invisibility cloak anyway.
One thing I find absolutely hilarious about living in a flat is that I can see into the next building's kitchen windows from my kitchen window - last night I looked down into the flat below me to see a massive, heavily tattooed guy washing up in his tight black pants (and I mean pants in the English way rather than the American way!). I hope he couldn't hear me laughing!
I'm glad that summer has finally arrived. It's not been much of one this year, but in comparison to last year's deluges, it's been practically tropical. I've even got a slight tan from being on holiday in Scotland! I would say that's a world first, but I do remember getting sunburnt the first week I ever lived in Aberdeen so that's not quite true. Today, my friend N who stays here one night a week while she's working in this office, had a convertible Peugeot as a work hire car. It was brilliant! We drove over to the Humber Bridge with the top down (it looks like a Transformer when the top comes down) and went to a pub over there. Brilliant!
I've been watching the Sarah Jane Adventures over the last few weeks and I'm really enjoying it! I've only got a couple of episodes left to go. Is it back on again this year?
