Damage

So I've just seen ep 11 of Angel.

I'm glad I decided to download it and watch it now as I've not really been spoiled for much by it. This post is going to be mostly composed of random comments strung together (no different from normal really!).*squee* does not even describe what I'm feeling about that episode! I was so nervous about what they were going to do with Andrew and I didn't need to be because he wasn't short-changed at all!

So the hair... I must say that I wasn't too enamoured with it at first. I was all WTF? and then I thought it was cute. I loved all the LOTR comments especially the Viggo Mortensen's pecs one. Too cute! I'm glad that they didn't tone down Andrew's blatant gayness at all. There are just too many cute moments to say. The packed luch with the Union Jack drawn on it was hilarious, as was the whole penny tasting bit. Pure Andrew. I really liked the last scene with Andrew where he was standing up to Angel and his goons and then in stepped all his slayers. All Andrew's dreams come true! And he gets to make quips!

It's such a huge turnaround for Andrew that he gets to tell Angel's gang that he doesn't trust them any more as they are working for Wolfram and Hart. This from the guy that wanted to be a supervillain, take over Sunnydale and stay up all night. I'm just so happy for him that he's got something to do with his life. He's involved with the slayers and living in Britain (yay!) He's probably still as impressionable as ever so hopefully it will provide him with some values other than the ones that Warren instilled in him. So no more embarassing incidents with a knife for Andrew!

I love the fact that Andrew is still working with the Sunnydale lot. Being trained by Giles! It was nice to hear what the Scoobies are up to. Xander sending Andrew fish from Africa (yay for Xandrew!), Buffy in Italy and Willow in South America.

All the Spike/Andrew moments were lovely, especially the reunion of the two at the beginning. And the looks on everyone's face's at Andrew's enthusiastic hugging - when he was no doubt copping a feel of Spike's Viggo like pecs... I would have died and gone to heaven if there had been any Lorndrew but it was not to be :(

I liked the episode overall. I must admit that I didn't guess that the girl was a slayer until they said so. I've always been rubbish at guessing where stories are going. Makes me a good audience member I suppose! I'm glad that they addressed the whole slayer issue. Random girls getting superpowers has got to have consequences. I always thought that the Scoobies would have already informed Angel that there were now lots of Slayer roaming about. But I guess that if they don't trust him because of the whole Wolfram and Hart thing, that's possibly why they didn't. I did get spoiled about Spike's hands ages ago, but I completely forgot about it until he held the stumps up. I love Angel for it's gruesomeness. The last Spike/Angel scene was really nicely done as well - highlighting the differences between Angel and Spikes evil and the fact that they were both innocent victims at the start.

Wow, this is a monster post for me! I bet you're all glad I don't normally write this much...

In other news, I'm feeling very spaced out at the moment. Stupid periods of hell. I think I'd better go to bed.
