odycee | Why must everything be so difficult?

I kept saying that I didn't want to do a masters but there's an MRes with Imperial College and the Natural History Museum that looks perfect for me. I'm currently trying to work out how on earth I could afford it. I'm coming to the conclusion that without a lottery win I'll never manage if I don't get funding. And trying to work out how funding works is giving me a headache. They say I can't apply unless I've definitely got means to support myself. But I can't apply for funding myself, the department has to do it. But they can't do it until I've applied. WTF? Perhaps if I read it again it will make sense.
