My PC is driving me up the wall. I keep losing my internet connection every ten minutes or so and the only way to get it back is to restart. Whenever I turn it on or restart it, it tells me that it was shut down incorrectly and proceeds to run scandisk. Why?! There are no viruses or spyware on it. Last time I had a problem with the net connection like this it was because the PC was riddled with spyware. But there isn't any now. I don't know anything about bloody computers. Why can't it just run a self diagnostic program that takes ten seconds and fix itself? I want to live in Star Trek land. And if the connection has buggered up before I post this, I will not be amused.

And I am now going to bed as I have an eye spasm.

Actually, that does sound like a virus. Have you updated your virus scanner recently? I caught something last week, and my AVG missed it. Fortunately I managed to download all the security patches I'd been putting off getting, and that sorted it right out.

It does sound very virus like but I just updated my software and scanned while I was watching Angel. It found absolutely bugger all. Rah. Perhaps I'll try again.

And now LJ is fucking up. Aaaaaargh.

I know. I don't know what to do about it now. I think my course of action over the next few weeks will be to leave it and hope it magically mends itself...
