Cats

The two cats have arrived at the field. They're very cute and look just like Bean but they're not really tame at all. We're going to keep them shut in the caravan for the next few days and hopefully they'll stick around once we let them out.

What should I call them? What do you call two female cats? (No, that's not the beginning of a joke.) I was thinking of maybe some more Pratchett characters to go with Dangerous Beans. Or how about some ship names from Iain Bank's Culture books? - "So Much For Subtlety" and "I Thought He Was With You" maybe? Or how about " I Blame Your Mother" and "I Blame My Mother"? I know - "Only Slightly Bent" and "God Made Me Do It". That last one would be good to shout down the field when I'm feeding them. We had a cat called Proton when I was little - perhaps they could be Electron and Neutron?

Trillian and Fenchurch! That's what I'd call them at the moment, anyway, due to my HHGTTG kick.

I do like 'So Much For Subtlety', though. Though rather long for a cat. 'Only Slightly Bent' is clearly a top class name.

Oooh, I like Trillian! It's really difficult to think some female duo characters with suitable names. All the good ones I come up with are male.

So Much For Subtlety doesn't exactly roll off the tongue does it. Perhaps Only Slightly bent could be one of their middle names?

I used to have a cat called Kepler... because he always tried to run in perfect circles, but never quite managed it.
