The Weekend
Shall I try a proper update that doesn't involve me ranting about stupid people at work?
I got me a new layout. It's one of the ones that won the recent LJ style competition but I decided to snag it now instead of waiting. It's called Flexible Squares and it's by
cyrnelle. I noticed at work that it's got a couple of bugs in IE but as I use Firefox at home I don't really care too much. I have tweaked it a little bit but I haven't messed about with changing the colours yet because I'm happy with the default ones for the moment until I get a bit more time.
Saturday: I rode Kaz* because Oscar is a bit lame again. Kaz hasn't been ridden for months and I thought she was going to collapse half-way round the woods so I took her back. Poor thing - I know how she feels. She's got a right cough at the moment (probably from dusty straw) so not only is she unfit, but she was also coughing her lungs out. She'll be bedded on wood shavings next winter I think.
We decided it was warm enough for them to be out overnight now (Oscar with his rug on) so no more mucking out until October. Yay! It's a double edged sword for Kaz because if she's out she'll get rid of her cough but she'll also have to wear her grass guard during the day so she doesn't eat too much. She's actually pony shaped at the moment instead of hippopotamus shaped and I want her to stay like that. We also need to make sure she doesn't get laminitis again.
I went into town in the afternoon and spent far too much money. I bought train tickets down to London for getting to Serenity at the weekend (yay!) and lots of clothes. I don't think I've bought any new clothes for about six months so it was probably time.
Sunday: Did fuck all. Oh, I did a couple of barrows of muck in the field. Woo.
I watched the new Doctor Who episode on Sunday. 10 Downing Street got blown up!!! I was very, very amused by the 'massive weapons of destruction' in orbit and the fact that they could be deployed in 45 seconds. Fabulous. I'm OMG excited about next weeks episode because I accidentally watched the trailer (I don't normally like being spoiled even that much. Yes, I'm anally retentive) and woo! I think it might be being shown on a screen at Serenity - if so that's very cool!
*the pony we look after that belonged to my mum's friend who died in the summer.

aren't ponies fun? and I mean that both sarcastically in the medical sense and not sarcastically in the sense that I really like to ride ponies. I ride our resident pony when my horse is being an ass.
I really must download Dr Who.

You must download Doctor Who! Have you ever seen Doctor Who before?
