I'm so glad that I was *completely* unspoiled for that.

- Flying spacebourne Daleks!
- I love Rose's mum and I've got a bit of a soft spot for Mickey the idiot too. I think Mickey's mini might be a bit knackered now.
- Captain Jack died. I may have had a tiny tear. But yay! Not dead after all! I can't believe they left him behind though - his little face as he saw the Tardis disappear. :( They'll have to go back for him at some point next season surely?
- I hope Roderick got his face plungered off.
- That room that Lynda (or was it Linda with an I?) was in wasn't very well meteor-proofed was it...

- Jack kissed Rose. JACK KISSED THE DOCTOR. I may have had a tear at that point too. Not at the kissing (though it was very beautiful) but that Jack was going off to die for them.

- The Doctor kissed Rose.
- Rose was Bad Wolf. *Really* didn't see that coming.
- Loved the regeneration sequence.
- DAVID TENNANT!! I may have squeed slightly at that point. I had no idea that he was going to be in the episode. Can't wait to see what he's going to be like in the next series. Though I'll miss Christopher Eccleston.

I can't believe it's been so hot today. I think it got up to about 32C. It's humid and horrible and I'm all sticky.

Yes, I liked how they handled the regeneration.

Amen to plungering Roderick. But I hope Lynda got revived too - and the rest of humanity would have been good.

Wow, it all sounds very good. I really must download this at some point. So the Rose/Doctor kiss, was it shippy or what?

It was kinda shippy but there was an ulterior purpose too. But gay kiss on prime time TV on a Saturday night! It was very cute. I think the entireity of fannish LJ exploded in Doctor Who this evening. Especially the slash fen...

Oh, that kind of kiss! I didn't realise you meant a big gay kiss, I thought you meant something rather more chaste! Wow, sign me up. Are there caps? I want caps! My sister watched it and she never mentioned it. I thought I had her better trained than that!

I was still recovering from the heart attack I suffered at Jack's DEATH when all hell broke loose.

I'm curious to see how much we hear about Jack kissing the Doctor like that on primetime tv no less. all hail RTD.

Rose being Bad Wolf was awesome. I wouldn't have even started to guess that. and then watching her just disentegrate the daleks like that.... really cool.

I was so mad when the Doctor sent Rose and the TARDIS away, that I almost wanted to turn the thing off. but then I would have missed when he kissed her. and caressed her face.

and I didn't know he was going to actually regenerate this episode!! My brain is numb. I am completely traumatized. CE was my first Doctor for real. I knew of Tom Baker, but I have no memory of him. I will miss him greatly, but I'm reserving judgement on Tennant. I hope he's good.

I'm just going to go back to crying in my corner now. I had to get online and into the fandom reaction before my brain imploded. I'm glad I was almost unspoiled, but there's a small part of me that wishes I had been prepared.
