Not dead by the way. Just very busy shit shovelling. Joy and rapture.

ETA: I know that it's Independence Day in the US today but references to Firework Day still confused me for a while. Fireworks on anything other than bonfire night or new year seems weird! Is it not too light in the evening to see them at this time of year? Or is it darker earlier? So many inane questions, so little time.

It isn't dark until after nine, but fireworking commences shortly after sunset and typically goes until just before midnight in my neighborhood. Most professional fireworks shows take place just after dark.
