I feel like I haven't been around on LJ properly for ages. I miss you all! *squishes f-list* I've still been reading everyone's posts but I've not really been doing as much commenting as usual.

I got a proper pay rise today with my new contract! Woo! I think it's because they were worried about me jumping ship at the end of my contract because of the sale of the company. And the fact that I do about ninety times more work than stupid co-worker...

I wish I was going to the Serenity showing in Edinburgh. Ah well, I've already seen it I suppose, but it would have been nice.

HBP tomorrow!!!! I guess I may have to look at my f-list through half shut eyes tomorrow in case of spoilers.

This looks like a fabulous community! I didn't even know that it existed.

Yay for the pay rise! Boo for the unfair division of labour. Wish my previous employer had felt that way.

My LJ will remain spoiler-free. I finally read all the other books this year, so this is the first time I've been able to enjoy the anticipation, and no spoilers for me. Eeeee.

When I read the other books I wasn't involved in the HP fandom at all so it was very easy to avoid the spoilers. This time I didn't dare go near the internet in case of spoilers! I'm glad I read it unspoiled.

I know, I don't want to read any spoilers! I have to meet a friend for lunch tomorrow. Of all insensitive days to get me to go to lunch! Honestly! I'm buying HBP on the way and reading it in the bus and frankly, if things get dull, over the main course too. (Ha!)

Good question re cracked spines. Which reminds me, I have 6 recs to do before the end of the month. I'm not sure I'll be filling my quota. I know what I want to do next, though, so hopefully it won't take too long.
