Stuff

I've been up to Leeds to see my friend for the weekend and I've just got back. I got extremely wet walking across town to get the bus home so I'm wearing a very bizarre combination of clothes now. Apart from that though it was a nice weekend and I don't want to go to work tomorrow...

In other not so good news:

- My brother is currently in holiday in Egypt with his girlfriend. They're both fine and weren't at the resort that was attacked but I think they were due to go there at the end of the week - I don't know what they'll be doing now.

- My mobile has died - the OK button is completely knackered so I can't even get past putting the PIN in to turn it on. I would put my SIM card into my old phone but my brother had it last week and now I don't know where it is and he's in Egypt so I can't ask him. I hate getting a new phone.

- That Brazillian man getting killed by the police on Friday = not good. I'm not sure at all how I feel about plain clothed policemen being able to run around with automatic hand guns and shooting to kill. The idea of the police being armed makes me very uneasy at the best of times.

Whoever they were it's still damn scary. I understand why they did it but still. Shooting to kill and not even shouting out who they were seems very wrong to me.

Hello! Hope Leeds was good. I'm glad your brother was away from the bombs. I spent a few worried minutes trying to figure out if my friend was there or not, but it turned out he hadn't even gone to Egypt yet, which was a relief.

The situation with the Brazilian guy is scary. Hopefully it won't occur again. The news these days is just one thing after another. It's so worrying.

I really don't want to go to work tomorrow either. *sigh*

I've decided I can't look at the news anymore because I'm turning into my grandma saying "What is the world coming to?"
