So, Christmas day. I got the Doctor Who boxset that's disguised as a Tardis, a space age ant farm (I need to catch some ants to put in it!), some Red Dwarf DVDs, David Attenborough's autobiography and lots of other geektastic stuff.

Then, at seven I got a fabulous present in the shape of the Doctor Who Christmas special. I can't wait until March to see the new series! I'm not sure it's right that Doctor Who is that hot. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy references! Geek glasses! Amputated hands! I was quite sad that Harriet Jones ballsed it up by blowing the ship up - I hope she continues as the prime minister. And poor Mickey - if I was him, I'd have given up on Rose a long time ago. And David Tennant is hot. I loved it when he went into the Tardis's wardrobe to look for a new outfit. Good stuff. There were references to Torchwood dropping like anvils at every turn. I can't wait to see Captain Jack again though.

I also need to get stuck into reading through

shackinup_sesa because OMG. That's a lot of Sirius/Remus fic that I can't wait to read!

It says in the box that I can order some for about £4. I think I might do that as I feel a bit mean capturing ones that have been born in the wild and then sticking them in a strange environment.

I've read a few of them today but I'm still being sucked in by the John/Rodney. Good stuff.
