Another weather update

I am so cold. So very cold. Everything is frozen and we are covered in a blanket of freezing fog. This morning at the field I accidentally splashed water on the front of my coat and it actually froze on me. Wow. I haven't seen this much cold since I was living near Aberdeen which is a hell of a lot further north. It must have been about -5^oC this morning and the weather forecast says it's not going to get above -2^oC today. That's quite cold.

Good night last night - I met up with a friend that I know from sixth-form college. It's scary to think that I've known her for nine and a half years now. Very scary! It was great to see her - we've only met up a few times since we left college and went to university and that was only because we randomly discovered that we were working at the same place a couple of years ago. Nevertheless, we've kept in touch all this time through letters or email. She's not in Nottingham now as she's started a PhD at Durham so I thought we'd better meet up while she was in Nottingham for Christmas.

I need some more tenth Doctor icons.

I'd love to visit both Durham and Nottingham. Great cathedrals. I remember studying them in medieval architecture.

Wow, that is bloody cold. We've finally thawed today, but we're never as cold as England anyway, which is totally unfair because you get all the nice snow. But also you get water freezing on your coat, so I'm not so jealous of that.

Do you know, I don't know if I've ever seen the cathedral here! That's terrible isn't it.

We don't get snow here at all usually - just slush. But this has lasted for ages! The fog didn't lift all day and it's been so cold. I can't remember the last time that it didn't get above freezing all day.
