With Michelle Bachelet in Chile, and Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf in Liberia being elected as heads of state, the BBC News website asks the public if they think that these women will make better leaders than the men who have come before them. Here's a gem of a reply from one Ray Mistry, Manchester, NH, USA.
NO, they cannot. Women cannot handle a far demanding and stressful situation wisely and logically. There are a lot of variables involved in women and not in men.
Well, he certainly got his point across wisely and logically, didn't he?

Personally, I don't think Bachelet is going to be a better leader than Lagos, but that's because Lagos kicked ass. If reelection were allowed in Chile, people would've forced him to run and he would've won, which is better. But she IS a good leader and she has plenty of experience leading with men (she was Minister for Health and then for Defense) so I think she's going to be a good leader. At least we all hope so. :)

A lot of those idiots leaving comments where I found that one don't know the merits of either Bachelet or Lagos and were commenting based purely on the fact that she's a woman. Which I think is idiotic!
