i need a cyberman icon, or perhaps a slightly psychic icon so you only think i've got one

Mickey? Is awesome.

That's how a proper Doctor Who episode should end! How will he elude the cybermen?! How will he escape being tied to a trolley that's rolling towards the open mineshaft?!!!! omg! That's what this series is lacking - cliffhangers and multi-episode stories.

Loved the episode - especially the two Mickey's thing. It'll be interesting to see how that all pans out next week. I'm glad they've got Mickey along with them - gives the Doctor and Rose someone else to play off apart from each other.

The cybermen looked really good, not a wellington boot, plastic golf ball or what looked like a cricket glove to be seen! And they were actually quite menacing. I guess that them being in an alternate universe will explain the fact that these cybermen have been made (modified, upgraded?) on 21st century Earth.

And to end on a characteristically shallow note - I really enjoyed the Doctor in a tuxedo. Nice.

I remember being scared shitless of the Cybermen when I was tiny. Not as much as the Daleks, but still pretty bad ;)

I remember them as a kid from the Sylvester McCoy episodes but I think the Liquorice Allsort monster frightened me more! And the cat people. And being sent to Java.

You've said basically my thoughts on the episode, which were (incoherantly) Doctor, Tux, Good. Mickey! Mickey! Mickey! Cliffhanger, yay, yay! and Funky Funky Cybermen.

...blame the antibiotics for my incoherance. I do.

I'm loving Mickey now, used to think he was a bit of non-entity. Not now, however, I think he really adds something to the dynamic, especially since the ten/rose chemistry is nothing compared to Christopher Eccleston and Billie.

Same here. I had no strong feelings on him either way but now I think he's great. I like the dynamic he has with Ten a lot more than Nine - possibly because he hasn't called him 'Mickey the Idiot' since the regeneration!

OMG yes! (aside from Mickey. I don't hate him anymore, but that initial impression is really hard for me to get away from)

Cybermen were scary. Yay!!

Doctor + Tux = YES.

just as reference, I Just finished watching a couple of minutes ago, so I'm still a bit Eeep! over the end. :D

I didn't love Mickey from the start (afterall, he did get eaten by a dustbin) but he's really grown on me - especially after he got some back story in that episode.

Doctor + Tux = YES.

Ha! Yes indeed. I think I'm going to be needing a tuxedo icon.

It was all bleh to me, really. I don't like the Cybermen so I was waiting for the Doctor to kill them with style and then bam! I have to wait. Damnit.

But I agree, there should've been more double episodes or something. More werewolf! Hahaha, that was scary. :)

But the cybermen! They're killing machines with a human brain! What's not to like? ;) Evil dude playing 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' while people get sawn up has to be one of the creepiest music choices ever!

Well, yeah, I get that they're killing machines and all but they look so old fashion! Hahaha. Not evil enough for me, maybe. I don't know. I think the whole Rose/Doctor dynamic put me off a bit. What the hell?

they look so old fashion!

Probably because they are! I think that's probably part of why I like them - they remind me of being a kid watching Doctor Who. Heh.
