Billie Piper to leave Doctor Who at the end of the current series.

I can't say I'm dreadfully shocked but I'm a bit sad.

ETA: Of course this is a spoiler! I was rushed off my feet at work when I posted this so obviously I wasn't firing on all cylinders...

Aw! Though I'm surprised more people weren't theorising after Saturday's episode, which I have finally seen.

After last week's episode I did see a bit of speculation and I thought 'hmmmm....' so I wasn't entirely surprised. I'm a bit sad, but it'll be fun to see who the new companion will be.

No, it won't be the same. :( But I do like Tennant as the Doctor and I'm intrigued as to what the new companion will be like. I suppose that's the nature of Doctor Who though. The cast completely changes but it's still the same underneath.

I know. It'll be weird won't it. I hope they give her a good exit story. But he'll have a new companion, the Doctor always does, and I hope they'll be fab as well.
