I watched McKay and Mrs Miller earlier. OMG. Awesome awesome awesome. It was like someone had filmed really good fanfic and just left out the hot sex.

Good stuff:

The slash goggles were firmly on for this episode! Rodney in John's room. John relaxed and cleaning his golf clubs (which shouldn't really have been dirty seeing as he was just playing off the deck of Atlantis) and Rodney pacing around the room like he does it all the time. John showing Jeannie the video that Rodney made for her. The fact that John liked our Rodney more than alternate universe Rodney.

Team bonding. Teyla fancying a marine. Rodney getting a happy grinning face at the end.

Jeannie was great as was the whole Meredith thing, which should have been crap and somehow wasn't.

Alternate universe Rod with his spikey hair and his easy sprawl and his leather jacket. I don't know if there's anyone on my flist that watches Atlantis and also used to watch Red Dwarf because I half expected Ace Rod to say 'smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast'!

Depleted ZPM - I much preferred it when they couldn't just nip back to earth so I'm glad to see that plot point.

Bad stuff:

Could the laughter have been any more fake? o_0 I'll let them off though because the rest of the episode was great.

So overall, I squeed over that episode like the fangirl that I am. I'm sure I've forgotten loads of stuff that I loved. Now I just want to read copious amounts of McKay/Sheppard fic. And I must say, watching that cheered me up quite a lot!

Now I have to go and wrap up my dad's birthday present because it's his birthday tomorrow and I forgot until yesterday (because I suck) and had to dash off and buy something after work today.

the fake laughter was just so so wrong. Though, not quite as bad as the fake coughing they sometimes suck at. I too forgive them because the rest of the episode was So much Fun.

I am still shocked that the Meredith thing worked so very well. Because it really did.

Yep. It was basically just a whole hour of one of the better fanfics. Yay!

Yes, he was very Ace McKay, wasn't he? lol. But also a bit on the annoying side. And the Meredith thing should have been tragically bad, and wasn't. Yay!

I nearly cried at the scene at the end where Rodney hugs Jeannie. In fact, maybe I did cry, but it was late and I was tired!

I suppose that Ace Rimmer was pretty damn annoying too though!

I might have had a small lump in my throat at that scene. I too was tired and also emotional. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
