blink

I love the fact that last night and this morning, about 80% of posts on my flist were about (or mentioned) Doctor Who, especially because I don't think I've ever friended anyone purely on them being a Doctor Who fan. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Heh.

Last night's episode, Blink, actually freaked me out a little bit - especially the bit where the Angels were first moving. All the hair on my arms and the back of my neck stood up at one point. I'm such a wuss! Although I was shouting at the screen that they could shut one eye and then the other because then the Angels would still be being observed!

I loved the episode despite it being a Doctor (and Martha) lite one. It was about a million times more successful than the one last season (Love and Monsters?) with the girl in the paving slab and the blow job joke. It was all very cleverly done, the way they got the Doctor to talk to Sally through the DVD in two separate places using the same dialogue was brilliant.

The Doctor Who Confidential episode was lovely as well. David Tennant looked so happy that he was allowed to go around interviewing people about Doctor Who. I think they're all just big kids!

Besides all that though - Captain Jack next week! Although I'll have to watch it on Sunday as I'm down seeing my friend in Coventry at the weekend.

it's because it was so flipping scary! and brilliant! Remember how Empty Child/Doctor Dances was all over the place? OMG. The freaking Angels gave me chills. My hair raised eery time they would show them and then show them moved/changed. eeeek!

and I quite enjoyed Tennant wandering around interviewing people and geeking about Doctor Who. It was such fun!

Captain JACK!!!!

Empty Child/Doctor Dances

That completely freaked me out as well! Evil children! I loved the way this episode ended with the Doctor basically making all the children scared of any statue anywhere. Awesome.

interviewing people and geeking about Doctor Who

David Tennant is such a huge geek! I can just imagine him as a kid in Tardis pyjamas.

OMG CAPTAIN JACK!!!11!!1

I thought it was really excellent (and I only started watching the show a few weeks ago, and as of yesterday had only seen about four episodes--today I watched like five more!)--tight writing, great plot, likeable characters. I too was totally delighted by the dual use of that dvd scene. Also, it was genuinely suspenseful! My friend and I watched it with the lights off, which was rather a mistake...

It was very suspenseful - hence my repeated shouting at the TV screen like an idiot. :D

It is a fab show and I'm glad you've found it. It's targeted at both adults and children which gives it a great sense of fun. This season has had some of my favourite episodes of any of these new seasons. Have you seen the two part episode from the last two weeks? Great TV.
