This weekend was the Rift, the mini Torchwood con, where I had a fabulous time with lots of lovely people - in alphabetical order: emony, flatlanddan, lonelybrit, maryavatar, niannah, randommagic and rivier. Needless to say, as usual, I am plague ridden as I always am after conventions. Snotty and miserable, which made this Monday even more special that it usually is.

Gareth David Lloyd - even cuter in the flesh than on the screen, very quick and very witty. Eve Myles - very very very lovely. She was so lovely that I paid extra to get her autograph. Kai Owen - cute and funny and allegedly a fabulous singer (but I missed all that bit so I just have to take everyone's word for it! D:). James Marsters - erm... not the most inspiring guest I've ever seen but it if I put my Buffy hat on, it was pretty cool to see him. But I did think that niannah, emony and I were going to get stabbed outside by rabid Marsters fangirls after we took the piss all the way through his talk.

Great fun, and I highly recommend the plan of commencing drinking at half past twelve in the afternoon and staying pissed for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Hurrah!

I fully second this motion! I'd forgotten how well it worked until I rolled out of the last Q&A that afternoon - brilliant day, and lovely to meet you too! :)
