freaks and geeks

I've just watched the last episode of Freaks and Geeks. I can't believe it was cancelled! Only 18 episodes! I know it's old news as it was cancelled about eight years ago but I'm really cross! I hope there's some really good gen fanfic out there so that I don't feel so bereft. :(:(
