How had I never seen Brief Encounter before? I put it on my Lovefilm queue on a whim ages ago and got round to watching it tonight. I may have cried slightly and I see now why it's a classic. I want to wander around now with a hat on talking like someone from the 1940s (which sounds suspiciously like the Queen...).
