Fic rec
I've been catching up on a bit of fic reading on
shacking_up and I just read the most hilariously cute Sirius/Remus piece by
sheafrotherdon. Abner of Astlegate's Most Splendid Pox. So funny. Comedy's not something that's usually done often or well in fanfic so I love it when I find something good. Plus it has oven mitts in and thanks to Andrew that's always funny.
Does anyone have any recs for me from the last few weeks? Have I missed any must-read Sirius/Remus or Shep/McKay (or Andrew/Warren - a girl can live in hope can't she?)?
I went out for a ride this morning and just managed to avoid being caught in a hail storm. Unfortunately, Oscar and I were unable to avoid the Scary Cattle Grid of Satan (accompanied by its minion the Wheel-trim of Pain), the Looming Whitewashed Boulder of Hell and the Burnt Out Car of Despair. However, it appears that none of these were as terrifying as the Large and Slightly Dirty Snow Ball of Doom that ambushed us in the middle of the horse trail and struck fear into the very heart of our brave Oscar. Oh well, at least he didn't bite me in the ear today.

I'm glad your bike isn't as skittish because that would be weird and also dangerous. "I swear I'm not drunk in charge of a bicycle, Officer. It's just skittish," might not wash with the local PD.
