I've just watched the new David Attenborough programme about invertebrates - Life In the Undergrowth. It had some amazing footage of tiny animals (and some not so tiny). The clip of the springtails doing a mating dance is brilliant. They're so tiny - smaller than the head of a pin and they show them in such detail. I spent a good few weeks once mounting springtails onto slides for identification. Trying to pick one up from the surface tension of a pot of alcohol with the tip of a paint brush is one of the most frustrating things I have ever done. They're still very cute though.

I also watched Atlantis. Rodney so had tears in his eyes at the end when he was telling Sheppard that he'd earn his trust back. Can you tell I've been reading Sheppard/McKay again this week?

Goblet of Fire - as I said yesterday, i enjoyed it but I'm not sure if I enjoyed it as much as Prisoner of Azkaban - after all, there was no Sirius (apart from the flaming ember-head!Sirius which we won't discuss here) or Remus. But I liked it much more than the first two films. I cried at the end - I didn't think I was going to but when Harry wouldn't let go of Cedric's body I couldn't help it.

David Tennant was brilliantly evil and also hot when he wasn't doing the scary tongue thing. Ralph Fiennes was great and I was pleasantly surprised that you could tell it was him. He does a very good evil.

Cedric randomly jumped out of trees. Not sure what was going on there - perhaps it was to show that he's a good wholesome boy who does Enid Blyton things like climb trees. I made the mistake of looking at [livejournal.com profile] grrliz's two seekers seeking love and three seekers seeking love and [livejournal.com profile] hesychasm's Cedric Diggory is very very gay picspams before I saw it and was greatly amused through both those scenes. Poor old, dead Cedric.

Yeah, the Ronon/Teyla works! I like it. Though he's about 2ft taller than her. He's so hot. I can't help thinking it. I love the way he talks.

The Marauder stuff in OotP makes me uncomfortable, at least, that scene where they're bullying Snape so badly. I am torn between loving it because omgMarauders but then again, they're horrible bastards. But obviously, overall, I love it for involving me to that extent. Pretty brilliant to make the good guys morally ambiguous as teenagers. Also, it does reveal something about Sirius' emotionally stunted mindset, that he still has that relationship with Snape.

Oh Sirius, don't die! I think they should Hollywood-ify the ending. I'm sure JK wouldn't mind.

I need to work too, but at the moment I am putting ticks in boxes. I had fun discovering that Wingings 2 Capital P is a tick, but after that it went downhill. I am wearing my STFU t-shirt today, though, so I feel like I'm reprezenting myself, yo.
