Quick thoughts on Inferno
I remembered to download Atlantis this morning. Hurrah! OMG! Could it have been any more slashy? I thought not. The bickering, the thigh slapping, the looks of love when John wasn't dead. Episodes like this are what feeds the slash fandom. And the addition of the alien blond woman only made it gayer. John actually went back to the planet just to make sure that she didn't distract Rodney.
Other things - you just know Rodney wanted to name the ship Enterprise. Rodney saying "first we need to get off" to the blond alien woman with Sheppard rolling his eyes in the background was fabulous. And Sheppard's hair was particularly mental this week - I love my mood theme. Why is there only one more episode left? So unfair.
I really have to go to bed now. And LJ - can you please stop being an utter bitch? I know my userinfo is there even if you have changed the url. So flipping annoying.

But I also love my Ronon/Teyla and thought for sure they would get it on in a before-we-die thing. But they didn't. BOO!!!
20 episodes in a season is monumentally unfair.

Foxy McSexington was incredibly annoying and totally pointless, except it was kind of fun to see them bicker at each other over her.
he just likes the ship more and always tries to lever it in, even when the gay is far more evident by itself.
What do you mean? He likes what ship more?

I got the feeling that John and Rodney had had a bit of a fight before this episode. Their bickering was at about 128% of normal. Roughly.
I think the "approved" ship at this point has to be Ronon and Teyla. I actually thought they would kiss when facing imminent death. They definitely have chemistry, too, which is great for a PTB-approved het ship! As for Sheppard/Weir, that kind of kills me. Does she have actual chemistry with anyone? I don't think I am attuned to read it, because she's a girl and everything. Maybe with Zelenka. Or Caldwell, when they bond over chess.
I am looking forward to seeing Teyla and Ronon's dreadlocked babies.

That's my guess too. I just don't see it myself and am constantly surprised that it's the main het ship in fandom (and I'm still perplexed as to why it's called "sparky").
that's why the had to bring in Bimbette of the Week - they know the Shep/McKay dynamic works, and pulls in the punters, but they have to difuse the ".. yeah, but is it a gay dynamic?
When they do this, I always think that it backfires on them because the Bimbette of the Week generally has no chemistry at all with the regular cast members and it only highlights what's between our two guys. Smallville is a prime example of this!

Ha! I did too. I'm totally on board with the Ronon/Teyla. They've definitely got the chemistry. And the hottness.
