the world of 80's unicorns!
If you want a Christmas card from me, don't forget to go and leave a screened comment over here. :D
I'm using this icon in honour of last Saturday's Merlin. Can this show get any more fabulous, people? I think not. Rainbows and unicorns all the way. And now we know that Merlin is a blushing maiden indeed. I hope Arthur doesn't let that sorry state of affairs go on for too long, not now we know what is truly in his heart.
'I'm glad you're here, Merlin.' I adore that scene. It's shot so beautifully, and both Colin Morgan and Bradley James look gorgeous. It's all just so romantic. Ok, maybe the bit with the rat stew wasn't terribly romantic, but it was funny, and I loved it that both of them had the same idea as soon as Morgana appeared. The past two episodes have been great for showing us the budding relationship between the two. Only two more episodes to go. D:
Ooooh, I've just renewed my paid account and now I've got five new spare icon spaces! *glee*
I was just surfing around Rainbow Brite websites (as you do when you're thinking about unicorns and sparkly, fabulous things) and found an amazing website called The World of 80's Unicorns!. Unfortunately for us all, it was last updated way back in 2000. Back then, it seems red comic sans text on a repeating background of a mostly blue picture was legible. Obviously people's eyes have evolved in the last eight years and we can no longer read it.

NOOOO. I only started watching it this week! (By 'started' I mean 'pulled a sickie yesterday and watched 8 episodes in a row while snuggled up under my duvet'.)

Eight episodes in a row whilst snuggled up under a duvet sounds like an amazing way to spend a day. I'm guessing you've been enjoying it then! Isn't it adorable?
Also - IT Crowd icon! *loves*

I've been just adoring Merlin. Between Merlin/Arthur and Gwen/Morgana it's a shippy heaven - the episode where they all go on a roadtrip to Merlin's home village? I almost died of glee. It's like some gloriously cracked-out Smallville medieval AU except Lex is never going to go evil. I can't wait for the inevitable love spell gone wrong episode.

I may have watched the roadtrip to Merlin's village episode quite a few times. I just had to keep checking it was real. IT WAS!

You're right! It is! Secret powers, hot and powerful boyfriend, Magnificent Bastard for a father, gutsy female sidekick! They did say that Smallville was an inspiration...

It's all for the best if you don't find out what it says, you'll probably be disappointed. However, with the help of my 1999 eyes (I keep them in a drawer in the kitchen) I've deciphered the following:
Starlite is unicorn that helps Rainbow Brite keep Rainbowland from the bad guys-Murky and Lurky. He rides Rainbow Brite's rainbow(a real one)
A REAL RAINBOW! The things you learn, eh?

You've got so much more awesome (and a metric fuckton of slashtasticness) still to come! It almost brings a tear to the eye.
(Yay cards!)

Merlin is so romantic. Even at work my wallpaper is Merlin-themed. I do love it so. They are blossoming together. *sigh*

*sigh* indeed. It's like Arthur once went on a quest to find the Holy Grail of Slash and brought it back to Camelot with him.
