Aaaargh. There's a massive bluebottle in my room and I can't get it. Where's it come from? It needs to go away to somewhere else and stop thudding its fat body on every surface in my room.

I'd forgotten how many 'aliens made us do it' fics there are in Stargate fandom. It's great!

It's brilliant, isn't it? And most of them vaguely plausible, because you never know with these crazy aliens!

I am, aren't I, lol. I am delighted to say it's becoming plotty and I've used the word 'cock' twice now, which makes me feel very grown up. And it's long and nowhere near finished, so don't let me run out of steam. Hit me with sticks, that sort of thing. Or bribe me with Ben n' Jerry's that's another good idea!

It's weird getting back into a fandom where new stuff is coming constantly. I've got too used to Harry Potter where everything stays static and it can take years for things to get Jossed.

Heh, yeah, good point! Having new canon every week is definitely an odd experience in terms of fandom for me, too. Haven't had that since Buffy ended, really, since I didn't pay much attention to S5 Angel.

I definitely approve of hitting me with Ben n' Jerry's! Though it may not be very conducive to me sitting down and writing fic... still, I'll have fun eating all the little phishies. *g*
