Bonfire Night

All the animals (except Bill who I suspect is partly deaf because of his argument with a car ten years ago) are running around the house petrified. I, on the other hand, am getting a great free fireworks display out of my bedroom window. Some of the stuff going off must be those big ones that cost at least fifty quid and they're all coming from people's backgardens. When I was little, I had to be content with a catherine wheel nailed to the garden fence and a sparkler to spell your name in the air with. And then we'd go back inside our cardboard box and eat mud for tea.
