Why didn't I see a plethora of rude and offensive Valentine's Day pictures on my f-list? You're all sacked.

I had a good Valentine's Day evening. We laid in bed and watched the Big Lebowski, The Mighty Boosh and Phoenix Nights. Very chilled.

I forgot to mention last week (how could I forget!) that

niannah and I have booked tickets for Galactica 3 in August - a BSG convention. Hurrah! Though I wish they hadn't taken the money quite so soon out of my bank account...

And talking of Battlestar - it's been renewed for a fourth season of at least 13 episodes - thanks to

emony for the link! It's not coming back until January 2008 though. How can we be expected to wait that long?!

ETA: The cat has just thrown up on my duvet. And not just a bit - it looks like everything he ate for the last week. Lovely.

Peg2 people - what are you taking to wear to the 'cocktail party'? The very sound of it sends panic into my jean clad legs...

The cat has just got in my suitcase (how super-prepared am I - I'm not still trying to find the suitcase half an hour before leaving the house!). I wasn't planning to take him with me but I guess I'll be ready for anything now. Apart from the fact I can't find the plastic wallets to put photos in. And I need to find some camera batteries.

Heroes continues to be fabulous and so was SGA this week. Yayness.

Yay! I'm off on a wee holiday for the rest of the week. I'm heading off down south with a couple of friends until Sunday and we're going via Salisbury so that we can see Stonehenge as none of us have ever been before. I'd better finish packing my toiletries and remember what else I've forgotten to get. So far I've remembered I have no toothpaste to take with me - but I do have camera film. D'oh.

To the new folk I gathered yesterday - hello and goodbye! I would have done a 'hello, this is me' post but I haven't got time now. Actually, that's a lie. I wouldn't have because I'm far too lazy.

Why can't the predictive text on my mobile spell 'Luddite'? Rubbish.

ETA: Little cat Bean has just discovered her pink jingly ball again. I'd forgotten that by the time it gets to bonfire night, she has decided that it's too cold and scary to go out in the evening so she tortures us all chasing that ball up and down the hard wood floor.

While I'm on a cat update - we haven't seen the field cats for a week or so. Apparently some crazy lady at the bottom of the hill is feeding them. Perhaps she doesn't realise that these cats have luxury as far as farm cats go - they have their own caravan and a fluffy basket for goodness sake! They're still around - people have seen them and the food is being eaten - but I saw a few rats last week so they're obviously not around enough.

I was just having my tea when Bill started meowing strangely outside the front door so my mum let him in. He rushed straight into the living room and let a tiny mouse go which promptly ran under the settee. Bill promptly lost interest in it and went into the dining room for a nap. His work for the day is done and now we have a mouse at large somewhere in the front room, possibly in the settee. Fab.

In other news, I've only this second realised that the 24874th season of SG-1 starts tomorrow. I can't even remember what happened at the end of last season! Atlantis starts next week and Nip/Tuck on Sunday. Yay! I can join the ranks of those that watch the TV again! I'm still looking forward to Doctor Who at Christmas. Ooooh, I saw a bloke in the canteen at work who looks just looks like David Tennant but with worse hair.

ETA: I love the local time-stamp thingy that you get in the comments of a post now. I think you have to set your local time from the manage info page for it to work. It's interesting to see what time everyone left comments at.
