In other news, I don't know how, but the shoebox_project has the ability to make me weep like a baby. I dare say that had I only discovered Shoebox now, I probably wouldn't bother reading it and would be severely put off by all the skeery fangirls with the 'OMG SHOEBOX UPDATE I HAVEN'T READ YET BUT I WILL COMMENT POINTLESSLY ANYWAY' comments. But as it is, I was sucked in last year and I just can't help but read. And do you know what? It works beautifully the way it is at the moment as a gen fic. After all, it's gen with Lily/James, and I'm a sucker for Lily/James.

Now I really ought to go to bed.

I love finding new fannish things to squee about. I've been having a binge over the last week of Sirius/Remus and general Marauder stuff. Fic-wise, I've found I don't have much interest in the main HP characters - I guess I'll always be a lover of the more minor characters (Andrew, Warren and Jonathan <33333).

What I've really loved over the last few days is shoebox_project. The latest installment today is just so fantastic. It's got a Poe story in the middle of it! Into Snowy Oblivion is also fabulous - very short Sirius/Remus sadness. Gah. All of you guys (<3) that gave me HP recs have led me on a very slippery slope!

I totally need to make more Sirius and Remus icons. And Firefly ones.
