Mischief Managed

Three reasons why today has been brilliant:

1) Went to York to meet up with a friend that I've not seen for a few months. We caught up, went round a castle (always good fun!), bought some clothes and I got a lovely, lovely bag. I love bags.

2) Dumbledore is gay. FACT. I loved that while I was wandering around York this morning my mum sent me a text saying 'Did you hear that Dumbledore is gay?!'. She clearly knows me too well. This is pretty awesome. I hear there's been some discussion going on about whether this is a good or bad thing - fandom, will you ever be happy? True, it would have been better in the books, but still - it's pretty damn awesome. The whole Grindelwald/Dumbledore thing is like Clark/Lex. Albus Dumbledore = Clark Kent. FACT.

3) I just watched SGA 4x04 Doppelganger. ( spoilers )

I'm laying low (not at Lupin's unfortunately) until I've read DH (I keep reading that as David Hewlett) as I'm paranoid that I'm accidentally going to get spoiled! I'm sure that none of you lot would post 'OMG HARRY GETS PROBED BY ALIENS AND THEN BECOMES VOLDEMORT'S RIGHT HAND MAN IN THE SPACESHIP' outside of a spoiler cut. But you never know...

I think I'm getting my fourth cold of the year. Joy. Perhaps it's all this delightful weather we're having.

OK. So I might be a little excited about the OoTP film this summer now I've seen the trailer - thestrals, Harry, Hermione, Ron, Umbridge, Voldemort (in a hot suit) and more importantly - SIRIUS AND REMUS. This is making me want to go and read lots of Sirius/Remus fic.

And we all know which scene that's from. I think this film is going to make me cry just a little bit.

I saw Goblet of Fire this afternoon and I enjoyed it. Especially Cedric Diggory, Barty Crouch Jr and Voldemort. Me + Robert Pattinson = OTP. I think yeats summed it up best when she said in this post: One day, Robert Pattinson is going to roll out of his bed, wipe the cocaine residue off the abdomen of the nubile young man whom he had been using to snort lines last night, and realize I am his one true love.

Now I am going to bed as the tiredness has finally caught up with me. I was super-hyper on Sunday (i.e. hamster on speed - apologies to those I inflicted it upon), mildly hyper yesterday and today I am dead.

ETA: LJ is really pissing me off with this not emailing all my comment notifications thing. Grrr.

I think I love Robert Pattinson a little bit. Shut up! He's nineteen!

Oh - and in case you haven't been able to sleep for the suspense - I wore my skirt to work today. It was very nice.

Because of the uncertainty we have in our company at the moment, our team had a morning about 'coping with change'. It was rubbish but we got free lunch, looked at some ducks and had the morning out of the office so it can't have been that bad I suppose.

This afternoon I went out for a Sunday lunch buffet with my friend who'd come home for the weekend. She's currently living in London so I don't see too much of her. I had roast beef, roast chicken, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, veg and gravy and two different puddings because I'm greedy - cheese cake and carrot cake. Yum. The Yorkshire puddings weren't as good as the ones my friend made last weekend though. He is a Yorkshire pudding making king.

Yesterday my mum and I found a really cool little shop called Roots. It sells all kinds of carved wooden stuff and just lovely little knicknacks. I got a large metal dragon that's also a candle holder - I couldn't find it on the website. I've no idea where on earth I'm going to put it as it's rather large - at the minute it's sitting on my dressing table. I suppose it fits in with all the giant furniture...

My CD burner is playing silly buggers today. I'm not sure if it's the discs, the files or the hardware that's the problem but I'm hoping it's not the latter. I have to clear some space on my HD so I'm trying to get rid of some Lost, Atlantis, Arrested Development and Doctor Who onto disc. It's just the first two episodes of Atlantis season two that don't want to play nice now. I've already ruined six blank CDs so I'm going to be a little annoyed if this doesn't work now.

Blah. Monday tomorrow already.
