Fic

I've not done much fic reading over the last few weeks but I've been making up for it over the last few days. If you like Sirius/Remus and you haven't had a look at what's been posted over at shackinup_sesa - the shacking_up Secret Santa - then you should. There's some great fic, and art too. I haven't got through everything yet. The Times of Our Meeting is gorgeous and On Being a Maurauder is really cute.

A couple of other things I got round to reading:

Five Things that Never Happened to Remus Lupin and Sirius Black by penknife. S/R. Five short AUs. Gah. Some of them are heartbreaking.

And in the same vein, only not really: Three Things That Didn't Happen to Sirius Black's Teeth by hetrez. Very bizarre and quite disgusting!

I was about to say that none of the things I've recced there are porny. But on reflection, that would be a lie. Heh. I should say that none of them are PWPs.

Oooh, the sky's very pink at the moment. Very pretty.

I'm going up to see some friends in Leeds for new year tomorrow. I need to pack some clothes! I hate packing. I'll give you 50p if you'll pack my bag for me.

A large branch just fell off the big jade plant on my desk. I think it may be dying. :( This may be because I haven't been opening my curtains much recently - I heard somewhere once that plants need sunlight to stay alive - maybe it's true?

Spotted this on metaquotes and it amused me: Why the stegosaurs became extinct.
...With their sharp, bony back plates and spiked tails, stegosaurs have great difficulty when making love. The male quickly learns that becoming an adult involves pain and a fair amount of blood. Among the more promiscuous females it became fashionable to file their sharp parts down until they became smooth, but their conservative elders considered this the mark of the harlot...
