The meal was great - all you can eat buffet - including the puddings! Flakes, gummi bears, ice cream, chocolate mousse, maltesers... I feel a bit sick.

If you have a paid account and want more icon space, go and sign [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis's petition. It's unbelievable how fast the signatures are racking up! She says: "If you are a paid user and agree with the suggestion that the paid user's allowance of 100 MB of disk space (for phone posts, picture albums and icons) should be set up to allow for more user icons where desired, please leave a comment." I never thought I'd want more than fifty icons but I do!

I'm so amused by the squeeing over Doctor Who that's going on on my f-list! I think it's winning as the most talked about fandom of the moment! You bunch of saddos. ;) It is very, very addictive though. And me being me, how can I resist the lure of Doctor/Rose/Jack? Heh. <3 Doctor Who.

This new version of Semagic I downloaded a couple of weeks ago is a pile of shite. It pisses me off everytime I make a post. It doesn't save any of my preferences and is just annoying.

And for one final random paragraph: *hugs* to everyone on my f-list who's pissed off and/or upset at the moment because I haven't had time to comment. Especially [livejournal.com profile] emony and [livejournal.com profile] seshat1. Now to bed.

ETA: The book I'm reading at the moment wins at life for containing the following sentence: "Workers and peasants alike stared in open-mouthed bewilderment at this astounding display of productivity, then bent to scrabble in the muck for the brightly coloured sporks of revolution." Heh. I want a brightly coloured spork of revolution!

A Creationist's View of DINOSAURS and the Theory Of Evolution. A book in which the author decides that dinosaurs must have attacked Noah's Ark because of the way their necks are bent in death. And says wouldn't it make a kickass film? o_0

I'm also loving the creationism debates in the comments. "But then you can't call evolution a science either. Because it is based solely on the theory that there is NO god, which is much religion as believing there is GOD." Um ok. How is there even a link there? Crazy. ETA: A snippet from the user info of the person that made the statement above:

[a load of nauseous stuff about being a soft feminine woman who likes frilly knickers (I may be paraphrasing slightly here) and having baths poured (poured? from a jug?) for her] I am a woman. You are a man. Don't be afraid of that. God created us that way for a reason. He made me for your pleasure. To be enjoyed, valued and adored as the completion of your truest self.

So I am made for man's pleasure? Bitch, please.
