freaky eyes
Feb. 21st, 2008 11:16 pmLast night I watched three different TV shows in a row that involved someones eyes turning completely black - Supernatural, Torchwood and Being Human (that BBC3 drama thingy). One of the most disturbing nightmares I ever had was just me and a hovering presence that kept floating into me and when I looked in the mirror, my eyes had gone black. I think I'd been watching the season five four (ETA - it must have been season four actually - five was Glory wasn't it) finale of Buffy where the Scooby Gang all combine to fight Adam and Buffy has completely black eyes. Obviously this is something that freaks me out.
Being Human was surprisingly good - its premise, a werewolf, vampire and ghost share a house, sounded very naff but it was done well. I was pissed off to discover that it was a one off and it might never be made into a proper series.
Off to Coventry for the weekend tomorrow. It's my friend's birthday (hello friend if you're reading this!) and she's broken her foot so I'm taking her emergency DVDs for while she's stuck in the house. Before I go though, I've got endure tomorrow's research & development colloquium at work. It's probably going to be as exciting as it sounds.
